About the Journals of Gerontology Series B: Psychological Sciences and Social Sciences

The Journals of Gerontology Series B are published bimonthly; the first issue of the year is published in January.

JOURNAL OF GERONTOLOGY: PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCES,

Thomas M. Hess, PhD, Editor

Publishes articles on applied, clinical and counseling, developmental, experimental, and social psychology of aging. Appropriate topics include, but are not limited to, attitudes, cognition, educational gerontology, emotion, health psychology, industrial gerontology, interpersonal relations, neuropsychology, perception, personality, physiological psychology, psychometric tests, and sensation. Manuscripts reporting work that relates behavioral aging to neighboring disciplines are also appropriate. The Journal publishes four types of articles: 1) articles reporting original research; 2) brief reports; 3) invited reviews and position papers; and 4) theoretical or methodological contributions. All submissions are peer-reviewed, with final decisions made by the Editor.  

JOURNAL OF GERONTOLOGY: SOCIAL SCIENCES,

Charles F. Longino, Jr., PhD, Editor

Publishes articles dealing with aging issues from the fields of anthropology, demography, economics, epidemiology, geography, political science, public health, social history, social work, and sociology. The Journal publishes five types of contributions: 1) articles reporting original research; 2) brief reports; 3) letters to the editor; 4) reviews; and 5) theoretical and methodological articles. All submissions are peer-reviewed, with the Editor making the final decision.
